HP Laser Jet 4L drivers for Windows 7. Windows 7 IT Pro. I just bought a new HP with Windows 7 but can't find drivers for my laser Jet 4L. I found a parallel to USB adapter and connected it to the existing cable. I checked the cable connection to the PC. Even moved it to a new USB port. I'm a telecommuter, and I just received a new laptop from work. In order to continue to use my work horse, 20 year old HP LaserJet 4L (unsurpassed quality.HP doesn't build a printer this good any longer), I had to have a USB to Parallel adapter. I was familiar with the Tripp-Lite name, and I read the good reviews here so I didn't mind paying $20+ for quality. Out of the box, I connected the Tripp-Lite cable to the laptop and Windows installed drivers. It showed it as an unknown device. So, I connected the other end to the 4L.nothing. Then I disconnected the USB end and reconnected it.
After a couple of minutes, Windows located and installed 4L drivers. The only way it could have been easier is if I'd connected the printer to the cable prior to plugging in the USB connection. Update: I no longer highly recommend this product.
It is a good quality cable, but Windows 7 and my printer just don't like each other. The printer/connection to the printer was at best unreliable when connected this way. It would constantly disconnect or become unavailable. After putting up with this for a couple months, I decided to search that well-known auction site for a HP JetDirect. A $20 used JetDirect is super-reliable and lets me share my old printer via TCP/IP port with all my modern computers.

I checked and Windows 7 and it does have a LaserJet 4l driver. I tried to install printer and the Window Update had problems. Kept giving me the following error: Windows unable to get a list of devices from windows update.

Please try again later. I tried 7 times and same error. I rebooted, I shut down, I disabled my virus software, I went to the control panel and updated the Windows with the most current items.
Nov 12, 2014 Rigol did not use proper starting values, making the keys very weak. It was trivial (milliseconds of compute time) to figure out the private key. Interestingly, Rigol hasn’t fixed this since it. 86 rows Rigol DS2000 / DS4000 / etc. Many of these files have been placed here without testing, verification or checking of any kind. Use at your own risk. 
Jul 24, 2013 A few weeks ago it came to our attention that Rigol’s DS2000-series oscilloscopes were easily unlocked with a few USB commands. We had expected a small microcontroller device would be.
